Around 9 am this morning, the eighth National Primary and Secondary School Calligraphy Competition, Wuxi "He Lu City Cup" finals, jointly hosted by the Wuxi Wudu He Lu City Ruins Museum, Calligraphy News, Modern Express, and Wuxi Xinhua Bookstore, kicked off at the He Lu City Ruins Museum.
Nearly a thousand primary and secondary school students from Wuxi who are calligraphy enthusiasts and who passed the preliminary selection participated in this competition. The competition was divided into groups according to the students' grade levels. Participants could freely choose their font style, and each group wrote on a topic designated by the organizing committee. After the judges' assessment, outstanding works were selected for commendation. Although the weather was bad outside the venue, with heavy rain pouring down, a strong atmosphere of competition still permeated inside the museum. All the contestants participated enthusiastically, showcasing their talents.
