Upon its opening in 2014, the Wuxi Helu City Ruins Museum received strong support from the Shanxi Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau and the Shanxi Provincial Archaeological Research Institute. Ten artifacts from the late Spring and Autumn period were borrowed from the Institute to enrich the main exhibition hall, the "Helu's Mighty Wind" Hall. Since their display, these artifacts have been consistently popular with visitors, especially the "self-use mirror" of King Fuchai, the last monarch of the Wu Kingdom and son of King Helu, which has become a star exhibit in the hall.
According to the loan agreement and relevant provisions of the Cultural Relics Law, these artifacts will return to their owner, the Shanxi Provincial Archaeological Research Institute, in mid-April. Before they leave, if you are a fan of the "Fuchai mirror," or if you are curious about how these Wu Kingdom artifacts ended up in Jin, please seize the last opportunity and visit the Wuxi Helu City Ruins Museum to see them again before April 10.
After the return of the artifacts on loan from Shanxi, the "Helu's Mighty Wind" Hall will undergo minor adjustments. The Wuxi Helu City Ruins Museum hopes to continue receiving your support. (Ding Lanlan)
